Our guild uses a Zero Sum DKP System.

You get two types of "points" one for your attendance and one for boss kills.

Attendance points are given at the start and the end of each raid. People who are under 50% attendance lose priority on loot regardless of DKP. It doesn't mean they can't roll, it just means they can't win the item over someone with over 50% attendance.

Yeah, I figured the people saying she scaled were completely wrong. Guess I was just upset that we only got 2 attempts in :) I have a feeling when we attempt her again on Thursday, things will go a lot better.

Sorry for the double post. I forgot to say that usually people give up because they feel the run is going nowhere (which is wrong, but that's what ppl do). That IS an issue, but as soon as you start taking her down, you'll see that people will stick to the runs more than before.

It depends. You can't really "punish" a huge group of people on the raid because that would make them not want to raid again OR would create hard feelings among the team. At least on my raiding group I don't have such problem, because we are kinda "core" raiders: we are used to raid for long and we stick to the orders of our raid leader. Even tho it's late sometimes, the leader could say "Lets try once more", and maybe we try, but if it's too late we just leave.

Onyxia is hard, no matter how many people you have in the raid :P The difficulty doesn't change by having less or more people. The only thing that makes it easier is when you have people geared, also, people has to be experienced: knowing what to do, when to do it. Teamwork is also very important, at least me, on some raids I'm very low of health and I'm also running low on mana, then I usually use that mana on someone else rather than me, because I know that people is checking my hp (and healing me). That doesn't work always, tho, but most of the times I can be sure I got people behind me.
